This is why we prefer to use OEM filters on the Ford Powerstrokes. So many failures are due to poor maintenance. Why would you take your truck to the cheapest shop around for maintenance only to be paying more when a main engine component fails? You must always protect your investments! Ford filters on the 6.0 and 6.4 are 95% efficient at 20 microns and larger, while the 7.3 filters are 98% efficient at 18 microns and larger.
